No Matter What -- Cultivating Fruitfulness Day Six

Cultivating Fruitfulness

Radical Hospitality Day Six

How do we make Pomme de Terre UMC more attractive to younger people?

  • We say, "No matter how you are dressed, no matter how tattooed you are, no matter how bad you smell, no matter how loud you are, no matter how long you have -- or haven't -- been sober, no matter if you sit in 'my' seat, no matter how long you have been a single parent, no matter how offensive you language is, no matter how loud your music plays you are loved by God. And if God loves you then we love you, too."
  • We offer excellent children's ministries.
  • We offer childcare at EVERY church gathering -- otherwise you are telling anyone with children that you don't really want them there.
  • You start to use technology (video in worship, web sites, email, textmessages, facebook)because that is how younger people tend to communicate and interact.
  • You offer something -- a class, a sermon, literature -- that speaks to my needs (physical health, financial health, fellowship/lonliness, job fears).

What are your ideas?
